Behind the Scenes: On-Location Headshot Photography for a Spa’s Management Team in Shenzhen, China

This week, we were invited to Shenzhen, China to create professional headshot photography for the management staff of a luxury spa. Unlike traditional studio sessions, on-location headshot photography requires meticulous preparation—balancing professional lighting with the spa’s natural interior ambiance.

Before the shoot, we scouted the location to determine the best spots that reflect the spa’s brand identity: calm, clean, and professional. Lighting was carefully calibrated to ensure skin tones were natural while still flattering, with subtle highlights that convey confidence and approachability.

Each staff member’s portrait was tailored to their role within the company, from executives to department leads. Our goal wasn’t just to capture faces—it was to create a consistent set of professional headshots that communicates trust, hospitality, and sophistication across the spa’s website, brochures, and corporate communications.
