Lighting Test for New Food Photography Props in Zhuhai, China Studio

Yesterday in our sunlit Zhuhai studio, I finally put our latest batch of food photography props through their paces with a dedicated lighting test. From hand-thrown ceramic plates in earthy matte glazes to delicate linen napkins, textured wooden boards, and vintage silverware sourced from local artisans, each piece revealed its unique character under both soft natural window light and controlled studio strobes. I experimented with different angles—side lighting to emphasize texture on fresh dumplings and overhead setups that made vibrant mango sticky rice pop—fine-tuning shadows and highlights to create that appetizing depth every food photographer chases. The new props performed beautifully, adding warmth and authenticity that instantly elevated the compositions. These successful tests mean we’re fully prepared for an exciting series of client shoots coming up. Can’t wait to share the final images!
